About Lake Burera & Lake Ruhondo

Burera and Ruhondo are twin crater lakes linked by a narrow waterfall, set beneath the Virunga volcanoes north of Musanze. A kayak or local canoe trip gives the iconic 'lake + volcano' postcard photograph. Can be added to any Volcanoes National Park trip.
