Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern your booking of tours and services with AECONS LIMITED, trading as AECONS Safaris.
1. Booking and payment
A 30% deposit confirms your booking. The balance is due 30 days before departure. Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment up front. Payment is accepted in USD via bank transfer, Visa/Mastercard, or M-Pesa.
2. Cancellations by the traveller
- More than 60 days before departure: deposit refunded less a $100 administration fee.
- 30–60 days before departure: 30% cancellation charge.
- 14–29 days before departure: 60% cancellation charge.
- Less than 14 days or no-show: 100% cancellation charge.
3. Cancellations by AECONS
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule tours in cases of force majeure, civil unrest, or safety concerns. In such cases we will refund any amount paid less unrecoverable costs to third parties (park fees, permits, lodge deposits), and work to rebook at no additional cost.
4. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation, trip cancellation and personal effects is mandatory for every traveller. Proof of cover will be requested before departure.
5. Passports and visas
It is the traveller's responsibility to hold a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of travel, and to secure any required visas. We will advise on visa requirements on request.
6. Liability
AECONS acts as an agent for the hotels, airlines, transport operators and conservancies that deliver the services you book. Liability is limited to the conditions of carriage and operator T&Cs of those third parties.
7. Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes shall be referred to arbitration in Nairobi under the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration rules.
