About Murambi Genocide Memorial

Murambi sits on a hilltop in Nyamagabe district. The former technical school was the site of one of the largest massacres of the 1994 Genocide. The memorial preserves the remains of hundreds of victims, covered in lime, in their final postures. Recommended only for travellers prepared for its intensity.
