About Samburu National Reserve

Samburu is semi-arid, elephant-rich and culturally vibrant. Along the Ewaso Ng'iro you'll find gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx and Somali ostrich β€” the 'Samburu 5'. Home to the Samburu people, cousins of the Maasai, who welcome visitors to their manyattas.
