About Mikumi National Park

Mikumi covers 3,230 km² and sits on the Dar es Salaam–Iringa highway — making it Tanzania's most accessible mainland safari park. The Mkata Floodplain hosts giraffe, zebra, buffalo, eland, sable antelope and resident lion prides. Can be done as a long weekend from Dar — a real safari without a bush flight.
