Overview

Rwanda is the most efficient place on Earth to see two great apes. Volcanoes NP is a 2-hour drive from Kigali for the mountain gorillas; a 6-hour drive south reaches Nyungwe Forest for chimpanzees and 12 other primate species. Bookend the trip with the moving Kigali Genocide Memorial.
